Smoking herb and music just seem to go together and not all bud is created equal. Much like wine there are different tastes for everyone and that’s where the Emerald Cup comes in. Growers and from all around come to show off their prized buds, concentrates, and edibles. The Rolling Stone even called it “the Academy Awards of the cannabis industry”.
The music lineup at Emerald Cup includes a variety of upcoming and well known reggae/rock artists bringing the California vibe in full force. The Dirty Heads just released a new album this summer with more hit singles including That’s All I Need. Stick Figure will bring you back to the summer with their mellow but introspective lyrics. HIRIE’s sophomore album Wandering Soul has been one of the top reggae albums of the year. If you want to switch it up check out Vokab Kompany who will be bringing the beats with their live electronic set. Be sure to Check out our Emerald Cup 2016 playlist to hear all of the artists on the lineup:
The actual awards will host the best in each category after each entry goes through full spectrum testing. Winners will be presented on stage with the top 20 in flower, top 10 in concentrates, top 5 in tinctures, and varying numbers for other categories. There will also be speakers from different areas of the industry with the lineup being announced soon.Like all festivals there is a VIP option and Xperience tickets include 2 lounges (one for medicating with complimentary product), a private bar, meet and greets, and plenty of swag from sponsors. This sounds like a great option if you plan on partaking in testing out what contestants have to offer.

There are plenty of contest regulations which can be found on the Emerald Cup site.
